President Muhammadu
Buhari yesterday night left for London, United Kingdom (UK) to meet with his
doctors. The presidency said the length of his stay in London would be
determined by his medical team. He transmitted a letter to the National
Assembly in this respect.
A statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, said the
president had planned to depart yesterday afternoon, but delayed the trip by
some hours to receive the 82 Chibok girls.

freed Chibok Girls
President Muhammadu Buhari has described the release
of 82 abducted Chibok girls as a pleasant 2nd anniversary gift to Nigerians.
Mr.
Buhari stated this Sunday when he hosted the girls in his official residence at
Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
The girls were among the over 270 kidnapped from
their school in April 2014.

Ø Former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam freed
by DSS
After spending over two months in
the custody of the Department of States Security Services, a former governor of
Benue State, Gabriel Suswam yesterday regained his freedom on self-recognition.
Suswam was released yesterday at
about 3:30pm.
The former governor had on 25
February,2017 honoured an invitation by the DSS over alleged possession of
firearms and link with militia gang leader Terwase Akwaza, but was detained up
till yesterday that he was released.
