Governor of Ekiti State and chairman of the Governorship Forum of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ayodele Fayose has lamented ‎President Mohammadu Buhari’s refusal to wish him happy birthday.
Fayose on Wednesday marked his 57thbirthday in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Ø  Court refuses to stop Dasuki’s trial
A Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday rejected the request by former National Security Adviser (NSA), Mohammed Dasuki for an indefinite adjournment in his trial for alleged illegal possession of firearms and money laundering.
Dasuki had filed a motion, seeking an indefinite adjournment in his trial pending the determination of an appeal he filed before the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which he said was a referral of a question of law to the appellate for determination

Ø  Corruption : Farida was simply hired to attack me - Goodluck Jonathan
Former President,Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has said the former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss Mrs. Farida Waziri was hired to attack him if she fails to mention the person or company she was investigating before she was stopped.
According to an official twitter handle of @APCNigeria  Farida on Monday said she thanked the former president for sacking her, alleging that his regime was grossly corrupt.

Ø  ICPC arrests former judge for alleged N220m fraud
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) said it had arrested a former Kano State High Court Judge, Justice Kabiru Auta, for an alleged N220 million fraud.
Spokesperson of the commission, Mrs Rasheedat Okoduwa, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

Ø  Borno: 18 Killed, 29 Injured in Suicide Attacks
Eighteen persons were Wednesday killed in Borno State as suicide bombers launched audacious attacks on the troubled town.
Twenty-nine persons were injured in the attacks that threw the state capital into panic.
It was learnt that four suicide bombers, two males and two females, targeted a community in the outskirts of Maiduguri, the birthplace of Boko Haram.

Ø  United States claims $300m Abacha loot
The United States (US) has laid claim to $300million stashed abroad by the late military dictator, Gen Sani Abacha.
America allegedly told a court in an unnamed foreign country that it had an interest in the loot because it was saved in its currency, the US dollar.
Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami (SAN) and rights activist Mr Femi Falana (SAN) made the claims yesterday in Lagos.

Ø  Zimbabwean military places Mugabe under house arrest
Zimbabwe’s military said on Wednesday that it was holding President Robert Mugabe and his family safe while targeting “criminals” in the entourage of Mugabe who has ruled the South African nation for 37 years.
 A general appeared on state television to announce the takeover as armored vehicles blocked roads to the main government offices, parliament and the courts in central Harare. The atmosphere in the capital remained calm.
