Reasons Why Younger Guys are Falling for Older Ladies

Romantic relationship between older women and younger men are quite in vogue nowadays. We even see a lot of marriages between younger guys and older ladies. Guys are more interested and comfortable with older women. Unlike in the ‘80s and early ‘90s when guys were been made fun of for having sugar mummy and wanting the older women for just their money and connections. Now relationship between these two runs very deep.

Many of us grew up seeing relationships marriages, courtships, sugar daddies where the men were older than the women. The opposite was rare then and where it existed, the difference in age was often negligible.

We are in an era where guys in their 20s and early 30s are more romantically interested in much older women in their 40s and 50s. I went around with the question of why the attraction and what the woman has to offer here are some stories. Some women shared their views too.

Akin 32, say he has always being interested in older women for just the simple fact that they are more matured, they understand your feelings more than younger ladies and being there emotionally when you need them. To him an older lady knows when you are disturbed or having issues and offers ways of walking you through it without adding more to your problems.

  

Niyi 29, has been married to a lady 9 years older than him for over 4 years and he said he has not regretted it for a day. His reasons being that she motivates him more than a younger lady would have, she knows his better quality and want to make him a better person. When he’s down his wife pick up the tab and help in paying the bills without making a fuse about it. He said wife is more like his best friend that he can talk with and share his burden.

Kemi a 45 year old Lawyer is married to a 38 year old guy. To her she feels sexy and desirable anytime she goes out with her husband. He makes me feel young again she said laughing. To her, her husband understands her more than an older man would have. An older man would be rigid and too serious to her needs. With a younger man she’s not afraid to experiment on new things with her man she said.

Funke a 50 year Banker, said she once dated a guy 15 years her junior. To her that was the best relationship in her life. She said she felt loved and cherished by the guy. Every day was like a new adventure for the two of them, and that was not only because the sex was good between them but her guy always looks for way to make her feel young like taking her to the movies, always there when she needed someone to talk to, cook for her and other little things an older man would take for granted.

Ola, at 37, finds himself attracted to older women, in part for their clarity and substance and also their relaxed attitude about life: "I find that I'm attracted to a woman who has some degree of self-possession. I like the stimulation of a sharp intellect. I enjoy sitting down to dinner with someone who has a level of conversation I can appreciate and enjoy. I think younger women are sometimes too focused on starting families and that is rarely an issue with older women. I've always had relationships with older women. They know themselves. They have so much more to offer and they are looking for different things. They are not just looking for guys who will be good fathers and providers. Older women can be more playful. They are more relaxed. It's really a personality thing for me regarding what is attractive. I enjoy a confident attitude and older women definitely have the upper hand in that area."

According to Seyi 34, If a lady in her 40s or 50s has gotten this far on her own, regardless of whatever relationships are behind her, she’s been through enough ups and downs to know she can handle just about anything. And she knows she won’t fall into a million pieces if she doesn’t have a boyfriend. But she would love one, for sure. And whereas younger women are putting you through the paces to see if you can provide her with a life, an identity, and a future, an older woman already knows who she is and what she wants to do—she’d just love someone to share it with.

To Ade 30, an older woman knows what she want and doesn’t want. She’s not afraid to say it. In the bedroom? Go ahead and try to shock her. Bondage? Bisexual encounters? Threeways? Role play? If she hasn’t tried it herself, she’s likely considered it. Plus, I’m talking about outside of the bedroom as well. You may buy into the idea that all older women are “desperate.” Granted, some are. Some older men are too. And some younger women. But many are not. She’s choosier, and, unlike the 26-year-old lady who think they’ll drop dead if they’re not engaged by 27, married at 28, and have a kid before 30, she’s looking at life a little differently now. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t want marriage/kids, because she might, but if so, she’ll be pretty clear about it up front. Since she’s got a little life on her (and maybe even a marriage in her past), she may not have the rigid checklist that a younger girl has. Most of the single women over 40 just want a good man, period.

Over all below are some reasons why younger guys want to have a relationship with an older woman.

1. Experience: It’s not that you need a surrogate mom, but obviously you can learn something from a woman who has been around longer than you have.
2. Emotional Independence: Whereas girls your own age might be looking for a super serious commitment, an older woman might be more interested in something purely sexual, or at least more emotionally laid-back.
3. Be Interesting: She’s going to have picked up some culture in her years and you’re going to be able to pick some up from her.
4. She’s got her own life. And by that I mean: her own career, her own friends, her own apartment, her own money. and relying on you
5. Something New: She is not afraid to experiment on new things or ways to please both of you whether in the bedroom or outside of it.
6. Lack of Commitment: Particularly for divorced women who aren’t looking to walk down the aisle again, the more casual relationships they can have with younger men can be attractive when compared to ones with older men who are marriage hunting.
7. She knows what she wants and doesn’t want. And at this point, she’s not afraid to say it. In the bedroom and because of her more years she can show her partner more tricks in the bedroom.
8. Maturity: she brings her years of experience and maturity into the relationship by offering advises and outlook about life.
9. Curiosity: The guy is curious to see if this beautiful self made woman would go out with him and he wants to know what is her driving force and how he can benefit from it.
