Everyone knows the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
However, a busy schedule may prevent regular exercise, and you may develop a
routine of eating junk foods. You can’t afford to be passive about your health.

     away from dangerous Trans fats. While it’s important to reduce your
     overall fat intake, it’s even more important to watch the type of fat you
     eat. Deep-fried foods and anything made with hydrogenated oils (margarine,
     peanut butter, shortening, store bought pastries and cookies) contain
     Trans fats that raise your risk of heart disease. Eat only healthful fats
     such as olive oil and the omega-3 found in salmon and other cold water
     fish, which actually [protect against heart disease.
- Include
     weight training in your exercise routine. Aerobic exercise
     is great for cardiovascular condition, but its vastly inferior to weight
     training in attacking the flab factor. Recent research has shown that as
     little as once a week resistance exercise can improve muscular strength.
     Even the busiest or laziest among us can find the time and energy for
     that. Join a gym, consult a personal trainer or ask an experience friend
     to show you the ropes.
- Maintain
     your optimal weight. Current statistic suggest that a lot
     of men are losing the battle of the bulge, but maintaining a healthy
     weight is one of the best things you can do for yourself. You will look
     better, feel better and reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes, hypertension
     and other major killers.
- Be
     smoke-free. Smoking is linked to many of the leading
     causes of death, including cancer, lung disease, and stroke. If you smoke,
     quit today! Also, avoid second hand smoke.
- Safety means many
     things, like wearing seat-belts, and helmet, having working smoke detectors
     and following safety rules at work. It also means using condoms, washing
     your hands at regular intervals, taking care of your teeth and wearing
     sunscreen
- Water
     flushes out the toxins. A good amount of liquid intake helps
     the entire system and of course is best for curing skin aliments. The
     average man needs 2.9 liters or about 12 cups of water a day
- Take
     any medications you need. Thousands of deaths could
     be prevented each year by taking medications properly. Make sure to follow
     your doctor's instructions for all medications, including those that help
     control conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes.
- Avoid
     heavy drinking. Heavy drinking can lead to many
     problems, including high blood pressure, various cancers, psychological
     problems, and accidents. For men 65 and younger, drinking in moderation
     means no more than two drinks per day. Men older than 65 should have no
     more than one drink a day.
- Know
     your risks. Learn how your lifestyle affects your risk
     of health problems. For example, people who work with certain chemicals
     need to take protective steps, and men who have sex with men should talk
     with their doctors about particular concerns

sleep can affect your mood and your health. Try certain changes that can improve your sleep. See your doctor if you think
you have a serious problem. Sleep apnea, a common problem in which your
breathing stops briefly, can increase the risk of accidents and certain health
problems.
- Maintain close relationship. Another thing women seem to do better than men is maintaining close relationships. Make a point of strengthen ties with your family and friends. Volunteer work, religious ties, even pets, anything that keeps you involved with others reduces stress and enhances health.
