Dasukigate: Monarch urges FG to grant total pardon to soldiers

Moved by the degree of sleaze emanating from the $2.1 billion arms deal probe, paramount ruler of Igbo-Ukwu Kingdom, Aguata Local government Area of Anambra state, Igwe Martin Ezeh, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to grant soldiers being detained for failing to fight Boko Haram total amnesty.

According to the royal father, giving the circumstances where the Former president Goodluck Jonathan-led Federal Government failed to provide the soldiers, weapons and the money diverted for other selfish deals, it was wrong to sentence them to death or imprisonment, adding that failure to release them could amount to injustice and miscarriage of justice. Blaming corruption and superstitious belief for most problems facing Nigeria and other developing countries, the monarch call on Nigerians to eschew corruption and imbibe principles that could lead to positive attitudinal change.
On the fight against corruption, the traditional ruler commended President Buhari and urged him to probe deeper until all the culprits are caught and made to refund all the money they have looted from the treasury.
