Ø Buhari wades into Senate, Customs boss face-off

Buhari has reportedly waded into the face-off between the Senate and the
Comptroller General (CG) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Col. Hameed Ali
(rtd.), over the controversial ultimatum issued to car owners and dealers
nationwide to pay the duties on their vehicles between March 13 and April 12,
2019, or risk having their cars impounded.
He did this to prevent a further escalation of the
imbroglio brewing between the Senate and the NCS boss.
Ø The Naira on Tuesday
sustained its gain against the dollar at the forex exchange market.
The Nigerian currency exchanged at N455 (buying rate),
N457 (selling rate) at the parallel market, from the N455/460 it traded on
Monday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N547 and N480,
respectively.

Airport
The Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has released photographs of the N49m it
intercepted at the Kaduna international airport.
EFCC had yesterday recovered the huge sum hidden in
five sacks at the airport.
