Ø  China to loan Nigeria $4.5 billion to boost agriculture
The Peoples Republic of China has said it will lend Nigeria $4.5 billion to boost local agriculture.

            The loan is to enable Nigeria purchase farming tools including
            tractors, bulldozers, graders, irrigation pumps, among st others.

Ø  Ajimobi nominates nephew, Akala’s son as LG caretaker chairmen

Speaker of Oyo House of Assembly, Michael Adeyemo, announced names of Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s nominees for caretaker committee chairmanship of local government areas and the newly-created local council development areas (LCDAs) of the state, at yesterdays plenary.
Adeyemo’s reading of the nominees’ names at plenary came a day after two splinter groups within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state had bloody clash, over alleged imposition of candidates and alleged lopsided appointments purportedly in favor of Senator Ajimobi Campaign Organization (SENACO), against the Lamist, a group loyal to former leader of the party and former governor, late Alhaji Lam Adesina.

Ø  Bukola Saraki fires Salvo at APC NWC, asks Executive to stop ridiculing Legislative

The Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Sara­ki blew hot on Tuesday when he charged officials of the Executive and Legislative arms of government to respect one another and avoid acts capable of ridiculing them.
He spoke when the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun visited the National Assembly to seek an end to the lingering faceoff between the National Assembly and the Executive arm of government.

Ø  Italy deports another set of Nigerians

The Italian Government on Tuesday deported 40 Nigerians.
They arrived on an Air Meridiana flight with registration number E1_FNU at around 8 p.m.

 The deportees were received by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) who profiled them along with other security agencies at the airport.
Officials also gave the returnees stipend to facilitate their transportation to their respective states.

Ø  Man drugs, videos, rapes wife’s friend, shares video on social media

A 32-year old man, Obinna Arthur and his wife, Chinyere Arthur have been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for their alleged involvement in the rape of his wife’s friend at a popular hotel in Egbeda, Lagos.
The couple, who reside at Ogundipe Street in Santos Layout in Akowonjo, Lagos, lured the victim to Greenland hotel in Egbeda where the victim was drugged and took into the hotel room where she was stripped, raped and the sexual violation was recorded with a video phone.
