Ø Cabinet Reshuffle Looms As Osinbajo set to Innaugurate New Ministers
The Acting President, Yemi
Osinbajo, will on Wednesday (today) inaugurate the two ministers-designate that
were screened by the Senate in May.
BREAKING TIMES gathered that
arrangements were at an advanced stage to inaugurate the two ministers, Stephen
Ocheni (Kogi) and Suleiman Hassan (Gombe), who had been confirmed by the Senate
since May 3.

Ø Councilor, four others arrested over kidnap of Governor Bello’s mother
The police high command yesterday
paraded former councilor in Okene Local Council of Kogi State, Iliyasu
Suleiman, and four others over the kidnap of Governor Yahaya Bello’s mother in
2014.
The suspects are, Suleiman, 44,
who is the gang leader; Danjuma Ibrahim, 26, alias Apayi/Senate; Iliyasu
Obadaki, 35, alias Doctor; Alhaji Nasiru, 43; and Hafiz Yakubu, 26; while
Mohammed Jamiu, alias Bomboy, was killed in a gun duel by the Special
Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Ø Customs Removes Road Blocks Nationwide
Following directive from the
Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) in line with the
Executive Orders issued by the federal government, the Nigeria Customs Service
(NCS) has ordered all its commands across the country to immediately remove all
road blocks nationwide.
The Comptroller General of the
NCS, Col Hammed Ali (rtd), in a circular copied to Deputy Comptroller General,
all acting Deputy Comptroller General, Assistant Comptroller Generals, Zonal
Coordinators, Customs Area Controllers, Comptrollers Federal Operating Units,
Comptroller General’s Compliance Teams and Marine Commands, yesterday, directed
them to ensure immediate compliance.

Ø Dozens feared dead in Lagos building collapse
For the umpteenth time, tragedy
struck the city of Lagos as a four-storey building collapsed in Lagos Island,
injuring at scores of residents with dozens others still trapped under the
rubble feared dead.
Yesterday’s collapse is coming
barely days after a similar accident occurred in Abule Egba area of the state
on Saturday, killing a woman and her baby. At as press time yesterday, only one
body had been recovered with 15 victims rescued.

Ø No 'Killer' Anti-Malaria Medicines in Nigeria – NAFDAC
The National Agency for Food and
Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC), says there are no "killer"
Anti-Malarial medicines in Nigeria.
Dr. Yetunde Oni, Acting
Director-General, NAFDAC, made the disclosure at a news conference in Lagos on
Tuesday.
The meeting was prompted by the
list of 42 banned anti-malaria medicines, released by the Senate and said to be
in circulation in hospitals and pharmacies and consumed by Nigerians.
