25 Things one would regret not doing when getting old

Looking back as one grows older, you begin to realize about some life regrets, what could have been, the experienced we fail to explore, the moments we took for granted and events or people we had wish we had not over looked or shy away from.
With every passing year opportunities slip though certain people because of fear of what might or might not happen. If you often find yourself in situations where you’re wondering if you should go for it or hold back, here are some 25 things you’re likely to regret.

1.       Caring too much about what others think.
No matter what you do there will always be people who will criticize you and your way of life. Lean to rise above their judging you and know your life path is unique.
2.       Working too much.
No one looks back from their deathbed and wishes they spent more time at the office, but they do wish they spent more time with family, friends, and hobbies.
3.       Being Afraid of change.
Change can be scary, but don’t let that stop you. Moving, traveling, ending a bad relationship, taking a new job… Putting your fear aside to take these big steps in lifecan take you to bigger opportunities
4.       Letting society define you.
Don’t let your gender, race, age, socioeconomic status, religion or anything else hold you back from following your dreams. Find your passion and be strong enough to live it, despite the opinions of others.
5.       Never taking risk.
The ability to take that great risk when the circumstances demand it will make your life a completely different one. Never back down from creating a life that you think you deserve to have. As they say, it’s time to try and defy gravity.
6.       Not travelling when you have the chance.
Think we all have had this once in our life, thinking ‘I should have gone there or there’. Well as long as you live and able to travel, please do travel. Trust me it becomes a lot harder the older you get. If you think of excuses now, later you will have a family and need to pay the way for three-plus people instead just for yourself.
7.       Not realizing how beautiful you are.
This part is the biggest part if you spend your time thinking you’re not beautiful, you will just regret it. Too many of us spend our youth unhappy with the way we look, but the reality is, that’s when we’re our most beautiful.
8.       Holding grudges.
Especially against the ones you love.
9.       Not standing up for yourself.
Don’t let others belittle your ideas or opinions. Stand tall for what you believe in and let your voice be heard.
10.   Not learning another language.
How many languages do you speak? There’s no excuse not to learn a new language, and you are never too old for this. You’ll kick yourself when you realize you took three years of language in high school and remember none of it.
11.   Failing to make physical fitness a priority.
Too many of us spend the physical peak of our lives on the couch. When you hit 40, 50, 60, and beyond, you’ll dream of what you could have done.
12.   Staying in a bad relationship.
How many of us seen this happen? No one who ever gets out of a bad relationship looks back without wishing they made the move sooner.
13.   Not listening to your parent’s advice.
Our parents have the best experiences, so every advice should be thought of. You don’t want to hear it when you’re young, but the infuriating truth is that most of what your parents say about life is true.
14.   Putting other peoples dream before your own.
While it’s great to help others accomplish their goals, don’t let your own dreams take a backseat.
15.   Holding tight to people that will hurt you.
People come in and out of our lives for different reasons. If someone is constantly hurting you, know that it’s time to cut them out of your life for your own well-being and happiness.
16.   Spending your youth self-absorbed.
If you go through life caring only about yourself, you’ll end up with no one by your side. Learn to care about the needs of those around you.
17.   Not volunteering enough.
OK, so you probably won’t regret not volunteering Hunger Games style, but nearing the end of one’s life without having helped to make the world a better place is a great source of sadness for many.
18.   Failing to finish what you start.
Failing to finish what you start.
“I had big dreams of becoming a nurse. I even signed up for the classes, but then…”
19.   Worrying too much.
Worrying too much create non-existent problems in life. There will always be something to make you worry. However, constantly stressing yourself will definitely compromise your health.
20.   Not saving.
You need to save for your retirement. You won’t be working when old. Unless you have saved enough, you will become a bother to others. Save from a younger age.
21.   Not being grateful.
You should acknowledge the wonderful people around you and appreciate how blessed you are. Even in the darkest days, there is something to be grateful for.
22.   Not quitting a terrible job.
Look, you’ve got to pay the bills. But if you don’t make a plan to improve your situation, you might wake up one day having spent 40 years in hell.
23.   Not trying harder in school.
It’s not just that your grades play a role in determining where you end up in life. Eventually you’ll realize how neat it was to get to spend all day learning, and wish you’d paid more attention.
24.   Not spend
ing time with loved ones.
You’ll regret being too busy to attend a family event, or to just stop over and visit. There will be a time when the people you love aren’t around anymore. Don’t miss your chance.
25.   Being afraid to say “I love you”.
There are many ways to tell someone you love them and care for them deeply. Don’t be afraid to show other people how you truly feel, to show your emotions. They will appreciate it so much.

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE!
